Judge denies argument of defense who lost contact with client

“No doubt, complications with one’s client complicate matters, but … is little solace to opposing counsel,” LA Superior Court Judge Kerry R. Bensinger wrote in a tentative ruling Wednesday.

A Los Angeles County judge on Wednesday appeared to reject a defense attorney’s argument that she lost contact with her clients, the principals of a defunct medical transport company, and therefore could not provide a person most knowledgeable to respond to discovery requests in a wrongful death case.
