Pillsbury Winthrop confirms merger talks with Stroock

In the last year, Stroock has been plagued with a rash of attorneys leaving.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP confirmed Thursday it is in talks with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan regarding a possible merger.

“We are currently evaluating opportunities with Stroock,” a firm statement read. “We signed a non-exclusive letter of intent to help frame the discussion.”
