UC College of Law union seeks compelled arbitration

The university says neither the demanded 2% annual raise nor arbitration are mandated by the collective bargaining agreement.

The union for the faculty and administrative staff at the University of California College of Law, San Francisco asked a Superior Court judge on Tuesday to compel arbitration in a dispute over pay raises.

According to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299, or AFSCME, the collective bargaining agreement agreed to in March 2020 mandated that employees of the law school would receive a 2% salary increase...
