Bonta rushes to get 9th Circuit to halt gun magazine ruling

Without a stay, Deputy Attorney General John D. Echeverria warned, more than a million high capacity magazines could be sold in California in a week, citing what happened in 2019.

Racing against time, Attorney General Rob Bonta filed an emergency motion asking the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to stay a judge’s ruling striking down a California law banning large capacity magazines as unconstitutional pending its appeal.
