12 cities seek to block LA County's zero bail policy
Under the misdemeanor bail schedule, all violations of the business and professions code, fish and game code, and the Los Angeles County code fall under the zero bail policy.
Twelve cities are asking for a preliminary injunction against Los Angeles County's zero bail policy, which took effect on Sunday.
The lawsuit was filed on Friday on behalf of Whittier, Arcadia, Artesia, Covina, Downey, Glendora, Industry, Lakewood, La Verne, Palmdale, Santa Fe Springs and Vernon. The plaintiffs are represented by Jones & Mayer in Fullerton.
