Quest Diagnostics violated disabilities act, US judge rules

In her order on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Dolly M. Gee ordered Quest Diagnostics to pay $4,000 in damages.

A federal judge in Los Angeles granted permanent injunctive relief against Quest Diagnostics in a disability rights class action that went to a bench trial last year.

Represented by attorneys at Nye Stirling Hale Miller & Sweet LLP, plaintiff Julian Vargas successfully claimed that the medical diagnostic center violated the Americans with Disabilities Act when designing its self-check-in kiosks.
