Protest period for Soledad Canyon mining project reopened after 20 years, petition says

The long-delayed Soledad Canyon mining project in northern Los Angeles County is back in court.
CEMEX, a building materials multinational, sued the State Water Resources Control Board over its decision to re-notice the company’s application to provide a water source for a sand and gravel mining project. The action reopens a protest period CEMEX says closed 20 years ago.
