La Jolla law firm awarded $900K for work on $29.997M PAGA case
“The court finds this amount to be a reasonable result in light of the quality of the result obtained, the work performed by class counsel, a review of the billing records provided, and the estimated lodestar,” Orange County Superior Court Judge William D. Claster wrote.




Attorneys in La Jolla were awarded $900,000 in fees for what the judge noted was their "quality of work" in obtaining a $29.997 million PAGA case settlement with a Garden Grove oil and gas products and services company.
In the tentative ruling, to be finalized Friday, Orange County Superior Court Judge William D. Claster noted that the fees represent 33.3% of the gross settlement amount.
