San Diego biotech firm ends COVID vaccine patent dispute

Promosome sued Pfizer and BioNTech in June, claiming that its scientists showed the defendants proprietary information related to increased mRNA protein expression that was crucial to developing the COVID-19 vaccines.

Pfizer Inc., BioNTech SE, and the San Diego biotechnology company that sued the pharmaceutical giants for alleged patent infringement when developing COVID-19 vaccines have agreed to drop the federal lawsuit with prejudice.
