Bar associations urge attorneys to oppose State Bar proposal to eliminate bar exam requirement
The State Bar has entered into a public comment period through Oct. 25 on a proposal to eliminate the bar exam requirement to obtain a license to practice law in California. Prior versions of this same proposal were opposed by 27 bar associations, including county bar associations from across the State and also minority and affinity bar associations. The proposal was also rejected by a joint commission of the State Bar and California Supreme Court.





The State Bar has entered into a public comment period through Oct. 25 on a controversial and potentially dangerous proposal to eliminate the bar exam requirement to obtain a license to practice law in California.
