San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu sued the owners of three single room occupancy hotels in Chinatown on Tuesday, accusing them of violating health and safety violations that created a public nuisance.

In a news release, Chiu criticized the living conditions of the tenants in the three hotels owned by Jeff Appenrodt, Shailendra Devdhra and Kamlesh Patel.
