Security guard sues for emotional distress after shooting Target stabber

A Target guard said the store created an unsafe work environment by putting kitchen knives on display in a dangerous area and posting him as a deterrent to theft.

A security guard who shot a knife-wielding assailant at a Target store in downtown Los Angeles has sued the retail chain and its landlord, BOP FIGat7th LLC, prompting a cross-complaint from the company against Target.
