Rival wants losing engineering firm’s project proposal

Conduent, which won the bid for the L.A. County transit proposal, requested disclosure of TransCore’s rejected proposal pursuant to the public records law.

An engineering firm is suing to prevent the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority from releasing to a competitor the details of a project proposal that the agency ultimately rejected.

Disclosing the information, which was requested under the California Public Records Act by the rival firm that won the contract, would cause serious and irreparable harm to the plaintiff, the lawsuit claimed.
