Biologist says Corps of Engineers water plan harms salmon, trout

“The best science that we have fortunately, or unfortunately, is Mr. White going out on his own time, at his own expense. He has a bachelor’s degree in fisheries … His day job is water quality and sewage management. The man knows what he’s doing,” argued the plaintiff’s attorney, Phillip A. Williams.

A fisheries biologist asked a federal judge Tuesday for a preliminary injunction against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, seeking to change how the corps manages water and flood control at the Coyote Valley Dam because he claims its conduct is going to kill endangered salmon and trout.
