Plaintiffs’ attorney grills Tesla expert over research methods

Tesla says the Autopilot can’t do what the plaintiffs say it did in a 2019 fatal crash, while the plaintiffs said the system has a design defect.

RIVERSIDE — An expert witness for Tesla was grilled by plaintiffs counsel on her research methods Wednesday in the third week of the nation’s first wrongful death trial involving the Autopilot feature.

Tesla attorneys were expected to rest their case Thursday.
