A Los Angeles judge declined Thursday to allow a claim for punitive damages against the owners of one of the nation’s largest apartment complexes which was accused of failing to fix a leaky kitchen sink that the plaintiff says led to a broken back.
The lawsuit claimed that failure to repair the sink constituted a “despicable” level of negligence by owners of the Park LaBrea Apartments, which contains 4,255 units, houses some 10,000 residen...
