Lawsuit claims Caltech duped cyber boot camp users

“This case alleges that Caltech and its for-profit partner Simplilearn falsely advertise a ‘Caltech Cybersecurity Bootcamp’ that is Caltech in name only,” plaintiffs’ attorney Eve H. Cervantez of Altshuler Berzon LLP wrote.

A proposed class action accuses Caltech of duping people who participated in a cybersecurity boot camp that turned out to have been created and administered by an online learning platform, not industry professionals.

The California Institute of Technology syllabus states that the boot camp will be run in collaboration with Simplilearn Americas Inc., a co-defendant in the case.
