Judge OKs $200M deal over poor antitheft devices in autos
Several cities, including Seattle, New York, and Chicago, have also joined the multidistrict litigation against Kia and Hyundai. San Diego filed a separate lawsuit in state court earlier this year. These claims are still being litigated.





A federal judge greenlit a $200 million preliminary settlement between Kia America Inc., Hyundai Motor America, and a plaintiff class accusing the companies of making cars with substandard anti-theft features.
