Biden judge confirmations lag behind predecessors

A government shutdown, which could happen by the middle of the month would cause further delays.

During his first two years in office, President Joe Biden’s supporters touted the record number of judges he was appointing to the federal bench.

But during the last few months, Biden’s pace of getting circuit and district judges confirmed has fallen behind the pace not only of President Donald Trump but also other recent presidents, including President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton.
