US agrees to review offshore oil platforms

The Center for Biological Diversity claimed the government has allowed four-decade-old development plans to proceed in an area of the ocean off Huntington Beach.

The U.S. Department of the Interior agreed to revise plans for offshore platforms near Huntington Beach as it resolved an environmental lawsuit accusing the agency of failing to maintain oil drilling regulations near the Orange County coast.
