Last Girardi Keese law firm creditor settles for $1.2M

The bankruptcy trustee for the Girardi Keese law firm reached a million-dollar settlement agreement with the remaining litigation creditor in the long-running proceedings.
The settlement will free up some $9.8 million in estate funds that previously were earmarked to pay creditor Stillwell Madison LLC, which agreed in Tuesday's deal to take a reduced figure of $1.2 million, according to the trustee.
