‘Ghost kitchens’ didn’t work, Black Angus says in lawsuit
According to the lawsuit, the defendants approached Black Angus with a pitch to use its restaurants as ghost kitchens — an arrangement where a restaurant’s kitchen processes to-go orders for a separate brand.




A new lawsuit by Black Angus Steakhouses claims that a deal to use its restaurants as food-to-go “ghost kitchens” failed due to its partners’ inflated profit projections and mismanagement of ordering systems.
The suit filed by Adam Siegler of Greenberg Traurig LLP in Los Angeles accuses C3 Restaurant Partners LLC and Chowly Inc. of fraud and breach of contract.
