Solar panel advocates ask appeal panel to reconsider ruling
The plaintiffs challenged the California Public Utilities Commission’s 2022 decision to allow utilities to pay less to consumers whose solar panels push energy back into the grid during peak generation hours.




A coalition of environmental and solar industry groups asked an appeal court to reconsider a decision they said has crippled the solar industry in California.
In a petition for rehearing she filed on Thursday, attorney Ellison Folk argued the court’s ruling last month “conflicts with constitutional and statutory authority and case law” and “contains erroneous statements of fact.”
