Biden nominates judge for federal court in San Diego
The bid of another San Diego County judge is dead, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Longtime federal prosecutor Rebecca S. Kanter, who was elected in 2022 to the San Diego County Superior Court, was nominated by President Joe Biden on Wednesday to fill a vacancy on the Southern District of California.
But the bid of another San Diego County Superior Court judge, Marian F. Gaston, is dead, according to two people familiar with the matter.
