New lawsuit challenges funding for Delta water tunnel

The lawsuit came after a judge blocked funding last week for the $16 billion project to build a tunnel under the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.

The California Department of Water Resources is facing another legal challenge to a planned conveyance project in the Sacramento region as attorneys suing the agency claimed the proposal's environmental impact was not adequately evaluated.
