9th Circuit likely to OK ban on semi-automatic weapons

9th Circuit Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen was one of three judges that was skeptical of a lower court ruling striking down California's ban on semi-automatic weapons.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel seemed skeptical Wednesday of arguments that it should strike down California’s semi-automatic weapons ban, although it was not clear whether they would reach a decision on the merits at all until a similar Second Amendment case is decided.
