Proposed class action accuses Edison of violating billing rules
"The Public Utilities Code doesn't allow a utility like Edison to delay bill its customers when they have problems internally processing bills where no bills were being sent out for months at a time," Parris firm partner Kitty K. Szeto said.




A proposed class action lawsuit was filed Tuesday against Southern California Edison alleging it has been overcharging its customer base due to a "delayed billing" error.
The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by the Parris Law Firm accuses the electric company of not billing in a timely manner more than 50,000 of its customers, roughly 1% of its customer base, because those bills "fell out of processing." Lindsay Wellman...
