San Francisco ballot measures facing challenges, litigation uncertain
Opponents said they would monitor implementation of Measure F, which requires drug screening for adults seeking city welfare benefits, and Measure E, which allows the police to use drones, surveillance cameras and facial recognition technology in combating crime.
Opponents of two ballot measures passed by San Francisco voters declined to say Wednesday whether they will pursue litigation to overturn the new ordinances but vowed to monitor implementation of the rule to drug-screen adults seeking city welfare benefits and another giving police more tools such as drones and surveillance cameras.
