Ex-cemetery counselor accuses LA archbishop of labor violations

The plaintiff claims that she was forced to work off the clock without compensation, not given adequate rest breaks, and not reimbursed for business-related expenses.

A former cemetery counselor has accused the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles of nearly a dozen violations of the state Labor Code in a putative class action.

The complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by Blackstone Law claims that the plaintiff was forced to work off the clock without compensation at the church in Rowland Heights, was not given adequate rest breaks and was not reimbursed for business-related expenses...
