Year after settlement, judge doesn’t have signed papers

A Superior Court judge in San Francisco has granted both sides more time to settle an Instacart delivery drivers’ case due to the delay in collecting signatures from many of the plaintiffs.

SAN FRANCISCO — After issuing an order to show cause why settlement papers were not filed a year after he was told an Instacart delivery drivers’ case was settled and dismissal was imminent, Superior Court Judge Ethan P. Schulman on Tuesday gave both sides more time.

The attorneys told him the delay was due to many of the 108 former drivers not having signed the agreements yet.
