California Bar exam results show slight increase in pass rate
The State Bar points out that the results mirror those from other big states.
Less than 34% of takers passed the February Bar exam, a slight increase from the 32.5% that passed the February 2023 exam, the State Bar said.
But in a nod to the criticism it has received over the the low passage rates, the State Bar pointed out in its announcement that the results mirror the trends of bar exams in other big states. New York rose to 42% from 40, Florida went from 39% last year to 41% this year and Pennsylvania rose from 44% in 2023 to 48% this year.
