U.S. News' free speech suit against S.F. City Attorney dismissed

The news organization had challenged an investigation by San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu into the compiling of its hospital rankings report.

A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed U.S. News & World Report's first amendment lawsuit against the San Francisco City Attorney's office seeking to block an ongoing consumer protection investigation into the methodology behind the news organization's hospital rankings.
