StubHub faces $16M verdict over failure to pay partner

The plaintiff's attorneys made the case "a story about revealing corporate greed and power-hungry executives trying to make their budgets," according to the lead counsel.

A Los Angeles jury delivered a $16 million verdict against StubHub Inc. in a lawsuit claiming the ticketing giant failed to pay fees to partner vendor Spotlight for tickets sold through a partnership with American Express. The verdict held that StubHub intended to disrupt the partnership between American Express and Spotlight, which was founded by former employees of the company.
