ACLU files challenge to Biden's directive on asylees

The complaint alleges that the restrictions imposed by last week's executive order are in violation of federal statute. A similar order during the Trump administration was struck down by the courts.

Legal groups led by the American Civil Liberties Union sued the Biden Administration in federal court in the District of Columbia on Wednesday, claiming that the President's executive order cracking down on asylum seekers entering the United States was in breach of federal statute and seeking to have it struck down.
