City of LA sued over decision which could allow thousands to 'double dip' on pensions

"It will be Los Angeles residents who pay the price for this bizarre decision through their tax dollars and utility payments," said IBEW Local 18 Business Manager Gus Corona, whose union is behind the lawsuit.

The City of Los Angeles faces a legal challenge over a recent interpretation of the City Charter, potentially allowing some retired city workers to collect a pension while working at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
