LDS, church leaders named in Alameda County child abuse lawsuit

The plaintiff alleges that local church leader Craig Harward would frequently remove her from bible class with the permission of class leaders, taking her to another location where the abuse occurred.

A child sexual abuse lawsuit has been filed in Alameda County against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, former Secretary to the Bishop at LDS Corporation Craig Allen Harward, and other church leaders. The plaintiff alleges that she was sexually abused as a child by Harward between 2000 and 2001, and that other church leaders were aware of his actions but failed to report or intervene.
