23andMe settles lawsuit over data breach with 7 million victims
The company is accused of failing to maintain adequate security measures, which allowed a hacker to compile lists of data belonging to Jewish and Chinese customers and release them on the dark web.
Attorneys suing DNA testing provider 23andMe Inc. over a large-scale data breach told a federal judge overseeing the consolidated litigation on Tuesday that the parties had settled in principle, with more details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
