Judge pauses Wonderful unionization efforts

Judge Bernard C. Barmann Jr.'s ruling on Thursday said Wonderful was likely to prevail in its claims that United Farm Workers fraudulently induced members to sign union authorization cards.

A Kern County judge halted negotiations between agricultural company Wonderful Nurseries LLC and the United Farm Workers union pending resolution of a lawsuit Wonderful brought against the state Agricultural Labor Relations Board earlier this year.
