LA County court closed because of ransomware attack

As of Monday afternoon, it was unclear if normal court operations would resume Tuesday. Law firms have struggled to file new cases and communicate with the court.

The entirety of the Los Angeles County Superior Court was closed Monday as officials worked to repair and restart the court's network systems impacted by a ransomware attack Friday morning.

There were scant details about the extent of the breach by Monday afternoon. Attorneys said they were unable to file documents and judges said they were unable to access their calendars and email.
