Alameda jury awards $8.29M to stagehand injured at Rolling Loud Festival

The plaintiff's attorneys argued that a forklift operator failed to ensure Aguirre was in a safe position before moving the equipment, violating safety protocols.

An Alameda County Superior Court jury awarded $8.29 million to a stagehand who suffered severe hand injuries during the breakdown of the Rolling Loud Festival at Oakland Coliseum in 2019.

Angel Aguirre, an employee of SGPS Showrig, was working on the stage breakdown for the artist, 21 Savage in 2019, when the incident occurred. He was represented at the trial by Elise R. Sanguinetti of Arias Sanguinetti.
