Oil driller sues California over release of sensitive information

The complaint states that the company submitted both redacted and unredacted versions of the information the state demanded, but the Office of Spill Prevention and Response has informed Sable that it plans to release the unredacted version to the public.

An offshore oil driller sued California to prevent regulators from releasing unredacted information it claims would spill trade secrets and could make its infrastructure vulnerable to terrorists. These claims mirror concerns spokespeople from energy companies raised early last year when the state held hearings about high gas prices.
