SF City Attorney files lawsuit against deepfake nude image generators

Despite only one of the defendants being situated in the United States, San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu said he's confident the companies can be held liable.

San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu filed a "first of its kind" lawsuit against the owners of 16 popular image generation websites on Thursday, accusing them of violating state and federal laws banning "deepfake pornography, revenge pornography, and child pornography."
