US DOJ files plea agreement in accused white supremacist case
Now-retired U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney twice dropped the charges against Robert Rundo. Carney said the equal protection component of the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment does not allow the government to arrest members of one political party and not the other, such as Antifa and other left-wing demonstrators. He was overturned.
Months after federal rioting charges against an accused white supremacist leader were reinstated for a third time, government prosecutors recommended the defendant plead guilty to a single count of conspiracy and serve up to two years in prison.
