Disbarred Orange County attorney pleads not guilty to multiple felonies

William Jay King was stripped of his law license in 2021.

William Jay King, a former Orange County attorney stripped of his license to practice law in California in 2021, pleaded not guilty to charges of grand theft and money laundering. The charges carry sentencing enhancements for aggravated white-collar crime exceeding $500,000.

King and his court-appointed public defender, Rosalynn Le, did not respond to requests for comment. People v. King, 24HF0687 (OC Super. Ct., filed Sept. 05, 2024).
