Arizona residents sue Sephora in California over privacy violations

The putative class action differs from other cases targeting the use of pixel tracking technology by seeking relief under an Arizona statute.

A putative class of Arizona citizens sued cosmetics company Sephora USA Inc. in San Francisco County on Wednesday, accusing the company of violating Arizona privacy laws by using "spy pixels" to monitor users' "sensitive reading behavior" and build marketing profiles of Sephora email recipients.
