Another lawsuit filed over Gilead's HIV drugs

The lawsuit filed by David B. Fernandes of Baron & Budd PC in Encino is the latest in Los Angeles County Superior Court to take aim at the company's tenofovir disoproxil fumarate products.

A lawsuit filed by 78 individual plaintiffs on Thursday claims that six drugs produced by Gilead Sciences caused a slew of debilitating ailments, including kidney disease, renal failure, bone necrosis and teeth loss. The claims were levied in Los Angeles County Superior Court against the company over a class of HIV treatment drugs.
