2nd lawsuit still doesn't bring 'Romeo and Juliet' actors a happy ending

Responding to the dismissal of their clients' lawsuit, attorneys for the plaintiffs aired their concerns that California courts are abusing the anti-SLAPP statute.

Paramount Pictures Corp. successfully dodged another lawsuit filed by the stars of the 1967 film production of "Romeo and Juliet" who claimed they were misled into performing a nude scene as minors.

The lawsuit, which specifically concerns a 2023 remastered release of the film, was dismissed by Judge Holly J. Fujie on anti-SLAPP grounds, with the plaintiffs vowing to appeal.
