Punitive damages struck from suit against Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist

Allegations leveled against former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, accused of running over a 47-year-old man, do not rise to the "level of 'despicable and willful' conduct," a Los Angeles judge ruled.

A Los Angeles County judge struck punitive damages from a wrongful death case against former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Klinghoffer is accused of running over a 47-year-old man who was walking in a crosswalk as the musician turned left from Meridian Avenue onto West Main Street in Alhambra on March 18. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead hours later.
