Engineering company's attorneys rebuff govt attempt to link it to wildfire

The federal government's complaint claims Garrett J. Gentry was carelessly operating an excavator on terrain that was too rocky and ignited sparks that spread throughout an area in Fontana where the wildfire started.

An engineering company based in Upland denied the federal government's allegations that its owner recklessly sparked a 2021 wildfire that burned hundreds of acres in the San Bernardino National Forest and destroyed surrounding residences.
