TV networks must face finder's fee claim related to Pacquiao-Mayweather bout

Plaintiff Gabriel Rueda raised a "triable issue of material fact" relating to an alleged finder's fee agreement he is seeking to enforce, an L.A. judge ruled.

A Los Angeles County judge dealt a knockout blow to bids by Showtime, Paramount and associates of boxer Manny Pacquiao to dismiss claims by a plaintiff who says he helped orchestrate a $430 million-grossing bout with Floyd Mayweather in 2015.

Plaintiff Gabriel Rueda claimed he was not only stiffed on a 2% finder's fee for introducing Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, to media mogul Leslie Moonves, but was physically intimidated by defendants when he tried to collect.
